Emperor Renzong Finds His Mother
A jealous consort swapped Lady Li's newborn son, the future Emperor Renzong, for a civet and had her driven out. Years later, with Judge Bao's help, Renzong learned the truth, found his mother living in poverty and brought her home with honour. Gentleness and truth outlasted cruelty.
